The role
You join Patterno with the core system live and enterprise pilots running. You'll work across major product areas and help evolve the platform from a working system into a reliable, scalable, enterprise-ready product.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll ship production code from day one. You'll work closely with experienced engineers, take on meaningful features, and grow into owning larger parts of a platform that turns raw tender data into opportunities for enterprise customers.
What you'll do
- Build features across our TypeScript backend, from tender ingestion and matching logic to onboarding, notifications, and integrations
- Work with our relational data model across tenders, organizations, profiles, and matches using Drizzle ORM and PostgreSQL, including pgvector-powered semantic search
- Contribute to our ingestion pipelines across structured sources, helping with deduplication, normalization, freshness, and monitoring
- Ship user-facing features you can point to, from onboarding to tender feeds to matching controls, with React 19, TanStack Start, and Tailwind CSS
- Help integrate AI for document understanding and bid workflows using Vertex AI, working with embeddings and structured outputs
- Contribute to enterprise-grade infrastructure including RBAC, audit logging, secure document handling, and GDPR-compliant data processing on GCP
- Learn how the platform scales from pilots to production contracts, and take on more ownership as you grow
What you bring
- Some professional experience with TypeScript on the frontend, backend, or both (roughly 1–3 years, or a strong track record of projects)
- A working understanding of PostgreSQL and relational data modeling
- Experience with React and an interest in modern meta-frameworks (TanStack Start, Next.js, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms; experience with GCP is a plus
- Curiosity about LLM APIs and building with AI, whether from work or side projects
- Solid debugging skills and care for reliability
- Willingness to ask questions, take feedback, and work through ambiguity
